About

A NOG for Moldova, run the way operators expect.

The same model as NANOG, RONOG and DENOG: year-round exchange plus one peer-reviewed technical conference a year. For ISPs and WISPs, telecom, hosting and data-center operators, and the engineers inside banks and institutions.

No marketing on stage

Talks are technical and product-free. That neutrality is what gives a NOG its credibility, and it is non-negotiable.

Free to attend

Run by the community, funded by sponsors and partners. Nobody pays at the door.

Wired into the wider scene

Linked to RIPE, ICANN, the Global NOG Alliance and neighbouring NOGs like RONOG.

Community

It started in a room, on 12 June 2026.

A representative cross-section of the Moldovan operator scene showed up to the first meetup. The conference in October is the next step.

Programme

Two days, built around the talks.

The full agenda is published after the call for presentations closes. The shape is fixed: a full technical day, then a half day and the closing party.

Thursday · day one
Full technical day

A complete day of peer-reviewed talks and panels: operations, routing and peering, security, automation and infrastructure. The core programme.

Friday · day two
Half day and closing party

A lighter morning of sessions and discussion, leading into the closing networking party, where most of the real connections get made.

Got something worth twenty minutes?

MDNOG runs on what operators bring to the room. If you have run into something, built something, broken something, or measured something on a real network, that is a talk. First-time speakers are welcome, and the committee will help you shape a strong submission.

Topics we want
Routing and peering BGP and RPKI IPv6 deployment DDoS and security Automation and NetDevOps DNS Data center and fabric Optical and transport Measurement Outage post-mortems IXP and interconnection Tooling you built
Formats
Full talk 20–30 min · Lightning 5–10 min · Panel / workshop ask the PC

Every submission needs an abstract, as text or as a Word, PDF or PowerPoint file. Slides can come later. Talks are recorded and published afterwards unless you ask us not to.

The one rule

No product pitches. Vendors are welcome on stage when the talk is about the technology, not the sale. Sponsors get their space off-stage. This is what keeps the room honest.
